PrespaByBike Presented at the “Prespa Experience Tour” in Partnership with Eco Gerila Prespa On May 31, our partner organization Eco Gerila Prespa from Resen successfully organized and carried out the “Prespa Experience Tour” , an event designed for young people, tourism workers, and local stakeholders who contribute to the development of sustainable tourism in the Prespa region. The event took place at two authentic locations in Prespa: 📍 Golem Grad Island 📍 Spirit of Prespa Farm As partners in developing and promoting the PrespaByBike idea, we joined the event to present cycling as part of the region’s new tourism offer. For this occasion, we brought 5 bicycles to the location, giving participants the opportunity to learn more about the concept of active, sustainable, and locally connected tourism. Prespa as a Destination for Authentic Local Experiences The “Prespa Experience Tour” offered a personalized experience for each participant, combining nature, local food, agro-tourism, and the promotion of local tourism products. The program included: ·       a guided tour with a local guide; ·       a visit to Golem Grad Island; ·       a walk through the Spirit of Prespa agro-farm; ·       a tasting experience featuring the first Prespa smash burger prepared in nature; ·       a fair of local tourism products; ·       traditional food prepared by the hardworking women of Rural Women of Prespa. The starting point of the tour was Stenje City Beach , from where participants had the opportunity to experience the region through a combination of nature, local hospitality, and new tourism experiences. PrespaByBike as Part of the New Tourism Offer Through PrespaByBike, we aim to contribute to the development of a more active, sustainable, and accessible tourism offer in Prespa. Bicycles are not only a means of transport — they are a way to discover the region more slowly, more carefully, and closer to local nature and community life. Our participation in this event was an excellent opportunity to present the idea to young people, tourism workers, and local partners, while showing how cycling tourism can be connected with gastronomy, agro-tourism, local products, and natural attractions.
